Action Read recently said farewell to learner Katie Hass.  Since 2010 Katie has worked on her writing, numeracy, working with others, and self-management skills at Action Read.  “If I hadn’t come to Action Read, I don’t think I would have completed my education” she states.

Katie worked exceedingly hard to reach her goals but admits that sometimes it was a struggle to do the work. “Learning certain things was hard. I only wanted to work on what I enjoyed.” Katie’s advice? “Everyone gets frustrated sometimes… but don’t quit! You need your education.” Katie plans to attend college to become a personal support worker.
