Josie is hard of hearing and needs hearing aids to help her through her days. Her dream is to be a floral designer, but at the age of 36, she had experienced every disappointment possible. Josie was fired from her last job because of her hearing and had great difficulty in school- she was convinced that she was stupid. With the help of her tutor at Action Read, Josie was able to pass her Floral Design courses part one and two and just last month she got a permanent position at a nursery. Josie is now too busy to come to Action Read but says, “They helped me get the learning I needed and made me feel like I was part of a family at the same time. I am very grateful to the folks at Action Read.”
