Fred came to Action Read for help after his employer of 18 years, Pearson International Airport, put written security tests in place for employees. Fred had left school at an early age and did not have test writing experience – but knew his job inside and out. Action Read found Fred a tutor who helped him pass the test and keep his job. Afterwards, Fred chose to continue at Action Read since he saw all the doors that open with improved literacy skills. Being able to read to his grandson is his next goal.
